Nakhodka rigid coupling tank wagon is certified

RM Rail has received a certificate of conformity with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union for a Nakhodka rigid coupling (model 15-1271 ) tank wagon for transportation of petroleum products, developed under an order from the Federal Freight Company. Thus, the company can start serial production of the unique wagon.

The project to build an 8-axle tank wagon on a two-section rigid coupling started in March 2023. The developer was RM Rail Engineering, and the prototype was manufactured by the Ruzkhimmash plant. The key advantages of the new product are the total increased tank shell volume (184 cubic meters), and increased payload (150 tons); it can carry up to 14% more light and dark petroleum products in comparison with the existing models as part of a conventional train 988 m long.

The unique technical solution is designed to solve the strategically important task of increasing the carrying capacity of the limiting directions of Russian Railways, in particular, in the Eastern polygon, and to increase the volume of transported cargo on the existing infrastructure. The significance of the new model is proved by its naming the customer decided to give it the name "Nakhodka".
