RM Rail certifies its unique hopper wagon.
RM Rail has received a certificate of conformity for the model 19-1298 hopper wagon for grain transportation with an increased payload.
The key advantages of the new product are its increased body volume of up to 122 cubic meters, payload of 76.2 tons, and service life of 32 years. The wagon has one locking mechanism for all loading and unloading hatches and a continuous loading opening on the roof when the lids are open, making it versatile for use on all types of trestles.
The undercarriage of the grain carrier is the innovative 25 tf RM Rail bogie. The combination of a bogie with increased payload and an enlarged body makes the hopper an optimal rolling stock for transportation not only of grain but also of cargoes with lower density and weight, e.g. meal, cake, etc., allowing efficient use of the entire volume of the wagon.
