RM Rail presents a six-axle dumpcar for the mining industry
The key advantage of the new product is its payload of 125 tons.
RM Rail presented to potential customers its new product – a six-axle dumpcar (model 33-1297) designed for operation at mining quarries, in particular, for transportation of rock and ore, bulk and lump cargoes of high density.
The new design solutions ensure unique technical and operational characteristics of the wagon, which has no analogues on the Russian market yet.
The key advantage of the dumpcar is its payload of 125 tons, which is 10–20 tons more than the one of similar models of this wagon type. The service life is 22 years (similar models have the maximum of 15 years). The body volume is 56 cubic meters, the travel speed at full load on the industrial rail tracks is up to 60 km/h. The dumpcar has reinforced sides with 8 hinge points for fixing to the upper frame, and continuous sheeting on the outside. The thickened wooden damping layer (80 mm) ensures the safety of the floor during rock loading.
The running gear of the wagon is a six-axle bogie, the company's own development. It is made of reinforced large wagon casting for the axle load of 30 tf; the wheelsets are complete with cassette bearings.
Aleksandr Kulikov, Deputy CEO for Sales at RM Rail:
"There is a stable demand for dumpcars, and previously they were mostly imported. In a short period of time we have developed and manufactured rolling stock for the needs of mining companies. The main requirement was to provide for higher payload, and we did it. The new RM Rail dumpcar is truly unique in its parameters."
