RM Rail equips the most promising railcar with a new bogie
Eight car models received certification and are being mass produced with the new chassis. The number of such car models is to be increased up to ten soon.
RM Rail is to implement mass production of the most promising and popular types of rolling stock with a bogie model 18-9891 with a load of 25 tf.
Currently, seven car models have already been certified and are being mass-produced on the new running gear, including tank cars for transportation of concentrated nitric acid, coal liquid ash, molten sulfur as well as hopper cars for cement and grain, an autonomous refrigerator car, and a thermos car. In the near future, a general-purpose gondola car 12-3201, a dump car 32-1251 and an oil and gasoline tank car 15-3209 will be put into production with the innovative bogie.

– Taking into account the task of increasing railroad capacity, the production of railcars with increased load capacity is a priority in railcar building development. With the same number of cars in a conventional train, the cars equipped with the innovative bogie can carry from 7% to 9% more cargo. We see a great market need for rolling stock that makes freight transportation really efficient, and we are ready to meet this need in full.
