RM Rail Wins the Responsible Business Leaders of the Republic of Mordovia Award
RM Rail Ruzhimmash was named the winner of the regional Responsible Business Leaders of the Republic of Mordovia award. The award ceremony took place as part of the general meeting of the Mordovia Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, held to mark the organization's 20th anniversary. Artem Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia, presented the award to Tatiana Artyushina, the enterprise's Managing Director.
The initiative serves as a regional counterpart to the national competition organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) at the direction of the President of Russia. RM Rail Ruzhimmash submitted corporate programs focused on employee training and workforce development, as well as supporting health, families, and higher birth rates. Based on the results of the expert evaluation, the company was recognized as the winner in the Sustainable Development of Territories and a Comfortable Living Environment category and received recognition in two additional categories: Company of the Year in Workforce Development and Business Supporters of Sport.
The RUIE meeting served as a platform for discussing strategic directions for developing cooperation among employers, industrialists, and entrepreneurs in the region. The discussion centered on how Mordovia's business community is responding to global economic challenges. The Head of the Republic of Mordovia tasked industrial enterprises with actively contributing to the wider adoption of established practices in innovation development. The republic ranks among Russia's leaders in scientific, technological, and innovation development.
During the meeting, Artem Zdunov emphasized: "Mordovia is among Russia's top 10 most investment-attractive regions, reflecting effective cooperation with the industrial and business community."
It was noted that RM Rail Ruzkhimmash's win demonstrates the company's leadership in social partnership. The company's policy is aimed not only at protecting the interests of its workforce of many thousands, but also at improving the quality of life for the population of the entire region. Taking this into consideration, the meeting members decided to appoint Tatiana Artyushina to the RUIE Board. The regional authorities and the professional community also supported RM Rail's proposal to establish an Occupational Health and Safety Committee. The organization will contribute to strengthening the occupational safety culture and developing new tools in this area across the republic. Ilya Kobzar, Director of Occupational Health and Safety at RM Rail, will oversee this work.
