RM Rail Increases Employee Salaries Following Salary Indexation

RM Rail, a Russian manufacturer of freight rolling stock, has implemented a company-wide salary adjustment covering employees across all of its businesses, benefiting more than 8,000 people in Mordovia and Khakassia.

Reviewing the payroll budget and employee compensation remains a key priority for RM Rail. Over the past five years, salary increases have ranged from 5% to 20%.

In June 2026, the company increased salaries by an average of 6%, and from September 1, adjusted them in line with actual inflation. In addition, targeted pay increases were introduced for key specialists.

RM Rail's railcar manufacturing and metallurgical complexes rank among the top three industrial enterprises in the Republic of Mordovia in terms of average wages and number of employees.

The company has established a well-developed HR infrastructure. Provided that performance targets are met, employees receive annual rewards equal to their average monthly salary. An award for loyalty to the company has been established, with the amount depending on the employee's length of service: starting at three years, then ten years, and in five-year increments thereafter. Support measures are provided not only for employees but also for their families, including a housing program, reimbursement of kindergarten fees, a birth allowance, and gifts for first-graders. The social benefits package includes free hot meals, medical care, health resort treatment and holidays for employees and their children, a corporate discount program, and other benefits.

Anastasia Nataliuk, Acting HR Director at RM Rail noted:

"Our company has achieved real growth in employee salaries and is among the leaders in Mordovia in terms of salary levels. The motivation system is not limited to salary increases and expanded social benefits. We are committed to bringing about a fundamental change in our employees' working conditions and quality of life. A corporate university has been established, training centers are in operation, and investment projects related to occupational safety and industrial security are being implemented. All of this makes it possible to attract new professionals to the team and retain key expertise."
