RM Rail has certified the gondola car for transporting industrial-grade chips, model 12-1293-03
The certificate meets the requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulations and grants the right to serial production of rolling stock for five years.
Ruzkhimmash, one of the key assets of RM Rail, has received a certificate of conformity for the gondola car, model 12-1293-03. The certificate meets the requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulations and grants the right to serial production of rolling stock for five years.
The project continues the model range of gondola cars with the standard load capacity of 23.5 tons per axle, but it is RM Rail’s first development designed for transporting cargo such as industrial-grade chips. The load capacity is 64 tons; the full body capacity is 175 m3; the minimum/maximum tare weight is 28.5/30 tons.
The model 12-1293-03 stands out from its counterparts due to a number of advantages.
Chips are a specific type of cargo with low bulk density, but they tend to compact and freeze. With this in mind, RM Rail’s engineers made the design more robust and ensured a high degree of maintainability.
The body shape is tailored to the material’s nature. The Company succeeded in achieving optimal volume while maintaining the required dimensions. In addition, the inner surfaces were made smooth to facilitate unloading. Two “clean-out” hatches are built into the floor, making it easy to clean the gondola car after unloading.
