The first batch of wagons on the innovative bogie sent for controlled operation
All wagons are equipped with the RM Rail Digital Smart wagon system with monitoring and diagnostics units for the condition of key components
Today, RM Rail has shipped the first batch of wagons model 19-1273-02 on an innovative 25 tf bogie to the customer for controlled operation.
Certificate of conformity to the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (technical regulations of the Customs Union) for the hopper wagon for transportation of mineral fertilizers and other bulk cargoes (model 19-1273-02) was received at the end of October 2023.
The payload of the model is 77 tons, its body volume is 107 cubic meters, and its service life is increased up to 32 years. It has an internal protective body coating to protect the wagon from aggressive substances during operation. The key advantage is an 18-9891 innovative 25 tf bogie model (type 3, GOST 9246-2013). The applied technical solutions in the bogie allow to provide improved technical and economic indicators, including reduction of wheel and rail wear, which, in turn, reduces operating costs of both the rolling stock owner and the infrastructure. The design bogie speed is 120 km/h. The service life of the side frame and the superstructure beam is 32 years. The standard interval before the first repair is 500,000 km or 6 years.
The wagons are equipped with the RM Rail Digital Smart wagon system with RaTorm monitoring and diagnostics units. This system enables monitoring the condition of key components online, predicting their failure, and planning repairs based on the actual technical condition. The whole range of tests, including polygon tests, confirmed the efficiency of the system; now it is to undergo controlled operation.
