Head of Mordovia and CEO of RM Rail discuss the company's performance results
Maxim Tevs informed the regional leader about new developments, business prospects and social policy priorities
Maxim Tevs, CEO of RM Rail, told Artem Zdunov, Head of Mordovia, about the results of the current year's activities and prospects for further business development.
In the current year, the company focused on the production of specialized rolling stock and development of custom models. A significant achievement was the market launch of the in-house developed 25 tf bogie (model 18-9891) and innovative wagons based on it. New developments of the company – an isothermal thermos wagon for transportation of perishable goods and a tank container for transportation of liquefied natural gas – were highly appreciated by the market. They confirmed the confident entry of RM Rail into new promising market segments such as cryogenic and isothermal equipment.
According to the results of 11 months, 9,684 freight wagons were produced; by the end of the year it is planned to produce more than 10,600 units. Production volumes of freight rolling stock remained at the level of the previous year. This year, the company has significantly increased its casting output – up to 12,000 wagon sets of large wagon casting and over 19,000 tons of medium and small wagon casting. The company is working at additional capacity expansion, both through optimization and partnerships with other facilities.
Stable work allows us to fully implement the program of social support and staff development, provide competitive salaries and decent working conditions. Labor remuneration was increased twice this year, by 5% in May and 20% in August; the average increase was 19% and affected 90% of employees. The average labor remuneration level across the company currently exceeds RUB 77,000. The company provides employees with hot meals.
RM Rail employees are rewarded for achieving high performance results. They are provided with all conditions for career growth and professional development. Strengthening human resources potential, expanding personnel competencies and increasing the company's attractiveness as a reliable employer is becoming a key focus of RM Rail's social policy.
Maxim Tevs, CEO of RM Rail:
"The company is finishing the year with good results, and every employee contributes to this. That is why it was decided to pay a bonus of 14% to 20% of the monthly average wage by the end of the week, which will be received by 95% of employees of production companies (more than 6,600 people). Next year, we have some big challenges ahead of us. I am sure that the united team of RM Rail can do it."
Artem Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia:
- The holding is a reliable partner of the republic, which creates jobs, provides substantial tax deductions and, most importantly, RM Rail is developing and increasing investment activity. Machine building is the flagship of our industry, and RM Rail allows the republic to maintain its leading position among Russian wagon builders. The Company traditionally pays special attention to fulfillment of its social commitments and attracting new employees – this, of course, remains a priority of our joint work."
