RM Rail recertify their sulfuric acid tank car

RM Rail, a leading manufacturer of freight rolling stock in Russia, has extended the certificate of a tank car for transportation of sulfuric acid (model 15-1226). The document complies with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union.

15-1226 model tank barrel is made of carbon steel. The design solutions applied for the model help to achieve an optimal balance between cubic capacity and load capacity of the barrel. This ensures efficient use of the tank car for each type of cargo.

The tank car is equipped with a classic model 18-100 bogie of 23.5 tf axle load featuring improved serviceability on 1520 track gauge.

The tank car load capacity is 68 tons, tare weight, max/min – 23.9/24.6 t, full barrel volume 38.1 m³, length between truck centers 7800 mm, GOST 9238-83 loading gauge is 02-ВМ, service life is 18 years.
