RM Rail recertified two railcar models for transportation of phenol and for liquid nitrogen fertilizers

RM Rail recertified their tank car for transportation of phenol (models 15-1225, 15-1225-01) and tank car for liquid nitrogen fertilizers (model 15-1232-04). The certificates confirm compliance of the models with the Custom Union Technical Regulation requirements.

Register of Certification on the Federal Railway Transport (RC FRT) has certified two railcar models produced by RM Rail Ruzchimmash: tank cars for transportation of phenol (models 15-1225, 15-1225-01) and tank cars for liquid nitrogen fertilizers (model 15-1232-04). The certificates obtained confirm the compliance of the rolling stock with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union.

Tank car for transportation of phenol is available in two model types: the first one (model 15-1225) has a black steel barrel with internal zinc wire metallic coating. The barrel of another model type (15-1225-01) is made of stainless steel, which extends the tank car service life from 18 to 27 years and enables to transport not only phenol, acetone, but also polyalkylbenzene resin, and other cargoes. The tank car design includes inlet relief valve and protective shields. Load capacity of the car is 63 tons, barrel volume is 63 cubic meters, loading gauge is 02-ВМ, working pressure is 0.07 MPa. It’s a novel product in Russia.

Tank car for transportation of liquid nitrogen fertilizers (model 15-1232-04) is equipped with a steam heating jacket and a drain device with selectable number of layers of protection. The model is characterized by an optimal combination of load capacity and barrel volume equal to 67.5 tons and 53.5 cubic meters, respectively.
