RM Rail has recertified rail tank car for transportation of hydrochloric acid

RM Rail has extended validity of the certificate of tank car for transportation of hydrochloric acid (model 15-1230) in compliance with the Custom Union Technical Regulation requirements.

RM Rail has renewed the certificate of tank car for transportation of hydrochloric acid (model 15-1230) in compliance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union.

On customer request, the standard list of goods approved for transportation was extended to include aluminum oxychloride, coagulating agent and hydrofluoric acid. The model is characterized by an optimal load capacity for each type of cargo; usable cubic capacity is maximum over the entire range of goods.

The tank car is a novel product for 1520 track gauge. Its load capacity is 66.8 tons, tare weight, min./max. is 25.7/26.9 tons, barrel capacity is 62 m³, loading gauge as per GOST 9238-83 is 02-ВМ, service life is 18 years.

- This rail car is not a mass-produced model, but, due to depreciation of obsolete special-purpose rolling stock, it is in stable demand. The hydrochloric acid tank car is well proven in service, the company has obtained contracts for delivery in 2016 and 2017. Current order volume is about 200 units. Extension of the list of transported cargoes and a new certificate will provide higher running efficiency of such cars for the carriers. Our production is adapted for production of rail cars in small lots, and we are receptive to change in demand.
