RM Rail foundry complex has received the Russian Federation Government Quality Award

VKM-Steel (part of RM Rail, a leading freight rolling stock manufacturer in Russia) has become a winner of the Russian Federation Government Quality Award. The award recognized the enterprise’s significant achievements in improving the quality of products and services, as well as introducing highly efficient management methods in 2021.

The number of applicants to the competition appeared to be an all-time high, more than 500. After a prescreenig, the experts evaluated business and operational performance, terms of cooperation with partners, implementation of social and environmental programs, etc.

The award committee acknowledged that VKM-Steel had achieved positive trends in reject rate and product cost reduction, consistent increase of financial and economic indicators. A special mention was made of mastering new casting products: in 2012-2020 the plant launched into production over 600 product items.
