RM Rail CEO Maksim Tevs reports to Head of Mordovia Zdunov on company's performance

RМ Rail CEO Maksim Tevs and Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov discussed the company's results for the year on the eve of the professional Machine Builder's Day.

RM Rail is the largest machine-building company in the Republic; it employs 6,000 people in the region.
It has managed to maintain the stable utilization of its manufacturing capacities. Despite the challenging situation in the industry and the destabilized logistics and other business processes in the country and across the world, the company is doing everything it can to fully implement its program for social support of its personnel and, first and foremost, to maintain wages in accordance with market conditions. New canteens have opened at all the main manufacturing sites, and all employees are now reimbursed for their meals with 161 rubles per day.

In order to increase the competitiveness of its products and ensure business efficiency, the manufacturing is constantly modernized and revamped. This allows to steadily increase the labor productivity and improve the product quality.

The company implements its plans to develop and manufacture innovative products. A hopper car made of aluminum alloys was presented earlier this year, which cause some great interest among potential customers. The official launch of manufacturing of tanks for strong nitric acid and liquefied natural gas tank containers is scheduled. The foundry business is doing well. In July of this year, VKM Steel received the Quality Award of the Russian Government.

They also discussed the implementation of the company's new investment projects, as well as cooperation with Ogarev Mordovia State University under the professional degree program.

First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Mordovia Igor Freidin, Minister of Industry, Science and New Technologies of Mordovia Igor Gubaidullin, Rector of Ogarev Mordovia State University Dmitri Glushko took part in the meeting.
RM Rail was represented by Deputy CEO for Economics, Finance, Strategy and Marketing at RM Rail Andrei Gainanov, Head of Government Relations at RM Rail Aleksei Zhidyaev, Managing Director of Ruzkhimmash Valerii Larin, Managing Director of VKM Steel Nikolai Chalov, and Managing Director of Neon Vasili Bataykin.

Artyom Zdunov, Head of Mordovia, says that
"I congratulate you all on the professional Machine Builder's Day and on the date of your holding, a large and powerful one that is a reliable partner of the Republic, that supports it, provides jobs, pays significant taxes and, most importantly, develops. Now is a special time: first, COVID tried to attack both our country and the world; now, there is a struggle to protect the Russian world, our country. And you are on the manufacturing front, and machine building has always been the flagship of the industry. The company is in the top 3 of the Russian manufacturers of special-purpose fleets. This is very respectable, making it a 21% share of the market. Manufacturing have doubled over the past five years. Now that the President of the Russian Federation has announced a partial mobilization, you are not standing aside either, so I would ask the directors to approach this with the utmost responsibility and to provide maximum assistance. I am sure we will accomplish all the tasks we have set, and we will do it together.

Maksim Tevs, RM Rail CEO, says that
