RМ Rail CEO Maksim Tevs and Head of Mordovia Artyom Zdunov discuss company's results for the year

Business is showing a steady growth. Freight rolling stock manufacturing has increased by 22% year on year: 10,537 rail cars are planned to be manufactured by this year's end. Casting has increased by 6%: 11,981 sets of large car castings and 18,045 tons of medium and small castings are planned to be manufactured by this year's end.

The company is consistently implementing its plans to develop and manufacture innovative products. Three unique models of aluminum-alloy rolling stock have been presented, specifically, a mineral hopper rail car, a tank for strong nitric acid, and a tank container for liquefied natural gas transportation. As part of its investment program, the company is nearing the introduction of the model 18-9891 bogie of the in-house design with a load of 25 tf to the market. This will make it possible to consolidate its presence in the innovative rolling stock segment. Development of a new promising market for transportation and storage of liquefied cryogenic gases has begun. Certification of three more new freight rolling stock models is planned in the near future.

The company considers the expansion of the program for social support of its personnel and, first and foremost, the increase in wages as the most important achievement of the year. Based on the results of the year, the average salary increased by 14%. Focused effort to improve the working conditions in a comprehensive manner has enabled RM Rail to enter the rating of the best employers in Russia for the first time: it now has the 44th place.
The company has no less serious tasks for the coming year. There is a lot of work to be done to maintain its leading position in the Russian rail car building market. Improved operational efficiency will be its main focus.

Artyom Zdunov, Head of Mordovia, says that
"It is vital to maintain the investment activity now. Despite all the difficulties, we have managed to increase the scope of support for manufacturers. For the first time in many years, we have subsidized the expenses for procurement of new equipment and provided grants to replenish working capital. It is very important to continue social support programs in companies and to increase wages.
