Representatives of RM Rail and OMK discussed expanding cooperation

First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia Igor Freidin held a working meeting with representatives of United Metallurgical Company (OMK JSC) and RM Rail, a leading freight rolling stock manufacturer in Russia.

It was about the expansion of cooperation between the companies and stable supply of railway wheels to Ruzkhimmash JSC, RM Rail’s railcar building facility.

Igor Freidin noted that RM Rail plays a significant role in Mordovia’s economy as the largest employer and taxpayer. The company ensures sustainability of its business, focusing on both economic and social aspects: creating new jobs, supporting employees, improving infrastructure in the region. The Government of the Republic is ready to provide the necessary support to railcar builders within the framework of existing national programmes.

OMK is a strategic partner of RM Rail. The execution of contracts and stable functioning of business in the republic depend on the supply of railway wheels. Ruzkhimmash, the local economic mainstay of Ruzaevsky district, assumes responsibility for the quality of life in this area.
