The Head of Mordovia Republic has discussed implementation of RM Rail contract for Cuba railways

Vladimir Volkov, the Head of Mordovia Republic met Miguel Antonio Acuna Fernandez, General Director of Cuba railways on June 11. Valery Larin, Managing Director of Ruzkhimmash, took part in the event.

The visit of Cuba guests in Mordovia was arranged within implementation of RM Rail contract for supply of 363 rail cars. It includes manufacture at Ruzkhimmash facilities of three models: hopper car for sugar, box car and flat car. The first batch including 59 cars is already shipped, Ruzkhimmash is ready to expand export.

Vladimir Volkov said, that this contract is one of the first contracts concluded within intergovernmental agreement on cooperation between Cuba and Russia: “Mordovia feels high responsibility for quality and prospects of our cooperation, renewed after some interruption. That is why we will do our best so that the products manufactured by Ruzkhimmash for Cuba railways would fully meet customer’s expectations for quality, terms, performance.”

Miguel Antonio Acuna Fernandez thanked the Head of Mordovia for the opportunity of the cooperation and expressed hope for further development of the mutually beneficial economic relations.
