RM Rail will present hopper car for grain transportation with increased body volume and a general purpose flat car at EXPO 1520

RM Rail will present new models of rolling stock as part of the 6th International Fair of Railway Equipment and Technologies EXPO 1520.

At the 6th International Fair of Railway Equipment and Technologies EXPO 1520 RM Rail will present new rolling stock showpieces - grain hopper (model 19-1259) and general purpose railroad flat car (model 13-1258).

The body of grain hopper with increased volume up to 127 m³ shows the best capacity among its Russian counterparts and allows the maximum use of load capacity in transportation of light cargoes. Unloading sliding gates and side posts located inside the load volume significantly increase efficiency of the hopper operation. The height of the structure is adapted for all types of ramps. Load capacity of the hopper is 76 tons, tare weight is 24 tons, loading gauge per GOST 9238-83 is 1-T.

The railroad flat car is designed for transportation of wheeled and heavy crawler vehicles, steel structures, large-tonnage containers, tank containers for dangerous goods of up to 36 tons gross weight. The model is also suitable for transportation of loose, bulk and timber cargoes that do not require protection from atmospheric precipitation. The design allows an optimal arrangement and carriage of cargoes: 45 tons - in the middle of the car at a length of 3 m, 62 tons - in the middle of the car at a length of 4.3 m (this is the best indicator  in the range of flat cars). The flat car is equipped with compact retractable corner fittings. Carrying capacity of the flat car is 72 tons, tare weight, min/max is 21/22 tons, loading gauge according to Russian State Technical Standard (GOST) 9238 is 0-ВМ.

EXPO 1520 visitors will see the RM Rail flat car loaded with the cargo showing  its excellent capabilities. Another product of Russian Machines Corporation - GAZ Group’s Ural NEXT truck
will be put on the flat car. The modern multi-purpose vehicle is designed for transportation of various cargoes, personnel, towing trailers and trailer systems along all types of roads and across country. Its fully loaded mass is 20 545 kg, load-carrying capacity is 10 500 kg.
