RM Rail discusses a project to arrange rail car assembly in Hungary

President of RM Rail Holding JSC Konstantin Danilov took part in a working meeting with Head of the Republic of Mordovia Artem Zdunov and State Secretary for Transport of the Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology Laszlo Mosoczi.

The event was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Russia Norbert Konkoly, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia Igor Freidin.

The parties discussed issues of strategic cooperation in the field of industrial production. They talked about a project to organize an SKD assembly of railway cars in Hungary.

The government of Mordovia intends to implement the agreements reached with support from Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Hungary.

Konstantin Danilov, President of RM Rail Holding:

- Dynamic growth of railway container traffic in Europe, hence active demand for rolling stock, makes this market promising for RM Rail. We believe it makes sense to start potential cooperation from Hungary, the country with understandable track gauge and quality standards, favorable internal political situation and an interest in Russian companies. Initially, this may be a railcar assembly project, including but not limited to container flat cars.
