RM Rail development plans were discussed at a meeting with the Head of Mordovia

RM Rail General Director Maksim Tevs met with the Head of Mordovia Artem Zdunov to discuss operation of the company's enterprises, including the investment program implementation. The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia Igor Freidin, Minister of Industry, Science and New Technologies Igor Gubaidullin, Acting Rector of Mordovia State University named after N.P. Ogarev Dmitry Glushko, RM Rail Technical Development Director Sergey Drobzhev and RM Rail Government Affairs Director Alexey Zhidyaev.

Maksim Tevs thanked the Head of the Republic for supporting business initiatives and informed him about the situation in enterprises. The company is operating as normal. Bringing new, improved performance rolling stock to the market remains in focus despite the sanctions imposed on our country. Under these conditions, a key role is assigned to timely restructuring of production and logistics chains, including those for supply of necessary components.

Another priority task is training of personnel and interaction with the Republic’s educational institutions, including Mordovia State University. The Head of Mordovia emphasized that joint vocational training projects should be long-term oriented.

The parties agreed to combine efforts in the development of engineering competencies. Maksim Tevs invited the Head of Mordovia to a presentation of unique developments to be held at Ruzkhimmash in June. It is about tank car for transportation of strong nitric acid, LNG tank containers in two materials of construction: stainless steel and aluminum alloy. A joint visit to RM Rail engineering center was also planned.
